About Me

Maybe you're bored with too much time on your hands and that's what brought you to this page.  Or maybe you're just a busy-body who wants to know if I'll actually tell the truth or make up things about myself that I wish were true.

Well, here we go.

I'm a wife and mother of two ridiculously adorable kids.  I was raised on a small farm in western NY, which I left as soon as possible.  I moved to the Washington DC metropolitan area when I was 19.  I got married the first time at the ripe old age of 21.  (Yes, I've been married twice.  Break out the holy water and prepare to perform an exorcism.)

My amazing son, Zak, was born when I was 24 and he forever changed my life.  All in wonderful ways.  I remarried a wonderfully pensive, generous man when I was 30, the same year that our daughter, Lauren, was born.  (So yeah, you figured it out.  In addition to getting divorced, I probably had pre-marital sex, too.)

We moved to the FL Keys in 2009.  I tried my hand at a few different jobs on this small island, none of them challenging or rewarding.  After Lauren and I walked 200 miles across England alone, without proper maps or a guide, I began writing a book.  "Confessions of a Catholic School Dropout" was published five months later.  I'm hooked on this idea of being an author and plan to publish more, confident each will be better than the last.  That may be the wine talking.

I love to laugh.  I eat and drink too much.  I love sea mammals.  My kids are my greatest contribution to the world and I love them like you can't imagine.  I am going to live to be 120 years old, but a healthy 120.  I won't be confined to a nursing home bed.  I will be riding a scooter to the beach and writing books.
